A machine vision system that checks the position and size of holes and the geometric shape of insulation (trim) parts for vehicles – regardless of how the part is placed.
System and application
In a plant producing insulation materials for vehicles, an image processing system inspects the holes and geometry of trim parts.
Position-independent inspection
The inspection is performed regardless of the part's position and orientation – the part does not need to be placed in an exact position. The system evaluates the part geometry and automatically checks the position and size of the holes.
