A control system that routes raw materials and intermediates to the appropriate mixers (blenders) and reactors according to recipe requirements.
System and application
The system controls the transport of the raw materials and intermediates defined in the recipe throughout the factory and ensures that every material reaches the right mixer or reactor.
The project comprises approximately 2,000 I/O points. Most belong to valves, the rest to motors and other process equipment. At certain points in the process, filling is time-controlled using proportional valves.
Distributed architecture
Field equipment is controlled via six remote I/O stations distributed throughout the factory. A dedicated control cabinet was built for each station, and operators monitor and run the process from operator panels installed in the plant.
