Production data collection and ERP integration

Data from machines to the database and ERP – and work orders and recipes back to the machines.

Equipment we supply:Finder
Industrial PC

Part counts, measured values and machine status usually stay locked in the PLC and are visible only on the machine itself. We structure this data so that it can be recorded, monitored and shared with higher-level systems.

Data flows in both directions: production data goes to business systems, while work orders and recipes are sent back to the machines. The scope of the solution depends on the systems you already use and on how you want to use the data.

What it includes

Data acquisition from the PLC

Reading quantities, measured values and machine states from control systems.

Production logging

Time-stamped records with product data.

Database integration

Writing production data to a database, ready for reporting.

Work orders

Exchange of work orders and production information between machines and higher-level systems.

Transfer of recipes and parameters

Sending recipes and settings from the business system to the machine control.

ERP integration

Linking data from machines and lines with ERP and other systems, including existing PLC and SCADA.

Where it is used

  • Performance and downtime tracking (OEE)
  • Product and batch traceability
  • Automatic production reports
  • Linking production with the warehouse and ERP

How we work

  1. Defining requirements – which data is needed, why, and in which system it will be used.
  2. Review of existing systems – PLCs, communication capabilities and the data structure of higher-level systems.
  3. Data structure and interfaces – what is collected, how it is recorded and how the systems are connected.
  4. Software and integration – PLC-side development, data logging and the link to the business system.
  5. Testing and commissioning – verification of the data flow in real production.

Benefits for you

  • Accurate production data without manual entry
  • Product and batch traceability
  • Work orders and recipes directly on the machine
  • A basis for performance tracking (OEE)
