A camera inspection system with four cameras, based on Omron FH, that automatically checks whether screw threads are correctly formed.
Four cameras, four angles
The screw is imaged by four cameras from four different angles. Together they cover the entire circumference of the screw – giving a 360° inspection.
Thread inspection
The Omron FH image processing system evaluates whether the thread is correctly formed.
Automatic OK / NOK decision
For every screw, the inspection result is automatically classified as OK or NOK. When a defective part is detected, the system issues a NOK output.
Industrial image processing with Omron FH
The application is built on the Omron FH industrial machine vision system. The FH processes the images from all four cameras and makes the quality decision automatically.
